–But the result is not that satisfying?
Have you ever wondered doing something differently–
–But not sure where to begin?
I have a guidance for you!
This Business Assessment Form (BAF) is a sheet/form that will guide you on how you assess the situation in your business and what plan you should do next. This is a good tool to compare your current achievement/situation to your initial goals.
How to use BAF:
-
This form consists of 4 pages. The first one is for you to put the ID of your company, while the second one is where you can describe the situation freely, like a journal.
-
The third page is where you really begin the assessment. You’re gonna start to do the SWOTT analysis for your business. If your business is small enough, you can also put yourself as the subject of the analysis (means you analyze yourself)
In case you wonder what SWOTT stands for:
Strength = what you, your products, or your service are good at that you can put into your business. Your tangible and intangible capital belong to this section.
Weakness = the weakness in business could be about some debts, lack of infrastructure, etc that you need to beware of and may potentially jeopardize you in the long run
Opportunity = something that may be good for your business within 12-24 months to go
Threat = something that may jeopardize you in the short term or this time around
Trends = something that people like today that may profitable for you
In the fourth page, you can find another abbreviation that is actually another form of assessment: GPCT
Goals = what goals do you want to achieve in the next term. Describe it with some numbers or some measurement. Example: Selling 50 tons of papers by the end of February 2022
Plans = what you plan to do to smash the targets. Example: Reactivating the social media by daily post and 100 outreach, sending 100 emails a day, etc
Challenges = The things that may block your path, that you should beware of
Timeline = Specific time on how long it will take for you to achieve your goal.
Special tips:
1. Take a day or a half day off to brainstorm the ideas on this. Sit calmly and have some tea or coffee next to you. Common companies need around two weeks to do SWOTT analysis. If your company is so much simpler, it won’t require that long, but you may want to give yourself some time.
2. Print two or three sets of this BSF. Write any of your ideas in the first set, don't edit or censor your thoughts.
3. Answer the questions
4. Make some revision if necessary.
5. Keep the BAF in a folder and read it again at least once a month.
6. You can use this BAF to talk to your team or your business consultant/coach.
